Overview

Blah Blah... Both 'public' and 'secret' guilds will be allowed and supported within the game.

Requirements for creating a guilds:

  • The Guild Leader must have the corresponding 'stats(s)' sanctioned on their sheet. In other words, be part of that 'class'.
  • The Guild Leader must have some 'Leadership' skills and reasonable 'social' stats sanctioned on their sheet.
  • The Guild Leader must be able to recruit at least three other guild members before requesting their guild.
  • The Guild Leader must be reasonably active and be willing to keep up with communications with the other guild members.

Requirements for maintaining your guild:

  • The Guild Leader must be able to work with Storytellers on any/all storylines involving the guilds.
  • The Guild Leader and each member will be expected to 'dedicate' (permanently lose) 1 dot in Resources to remain a guild member. These 'resources' will be required to cover the expenses of running the guild. The more guild members a guild has, the more power and influence the guild will have in the city. (This is a 'one time deal' for the duration of the Game. If you choose to leave your guild, this dot in resources will be returned. IF you have not purchased another dot in resources to replace it.) These expenses might include, but are not limited to:
  • Taxes
  • Bribes to certain officials
  • Food for the meetings
  • Specific costumes that may be required for said meetings
  • Furniture
  • Any decorations/banners
  • Accoutrements
  • Events such as Mid-Winter Celebration

Benefits of guild life:

  • Each guild will receive a permanent locked channel.
  • Each guild will receive a private BBoard for guild communications.
  • Each guild member will receive a trinket with the guild's distinct emblem on it.
  • Guild members will be exempt from certain curfews and may be extended privileges by guards or other officials 'in game', depending on the guild.
  • Guild members might achieve prestige or be able to raise influences easier.
  • After the guild reaches 10 members, Staff will work with the Guild Leaders to set up a 'Guild Account'. Guild members might be able to "borrow" coin from the guild for certain projects.
  • Guilds can regulate the price of wares or services at their discretion. (Please be careful with this one. Extremes might have bad consequences!)
